How effective is tadalafil?
According to clinical studies, a single dose of tadalafil works within 30 minutes to produce an erection in response to sexual stimulation. The effects of tadalafil may last up to 36 hours post dose.
What is tadalafil?
Tadalafil is a prescription-only medication belonging to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Tadalafil is used to treat Erectile Dysfunction (ED) in adult men. ED is a common condition where a man is unable to get or keep an erection. Approximately 50% of men will suffer from ED in their lifetime. ED can be caused by an advancing age, stress, anxiety, alcohol and certain drugs.
What is Tadalafil Daily?
Tadalafil comes in two different forms: Tadalafil Daily (available as 2.5mg and 5mg tablets) and Tadalafil-36 (available as 10mg and 20mg tablets). Tadalafil-36 can be taken when required half an hour before intercourse and the effects last up to 36 hours. Tadalafil Daily is taken every day which provides an ongoing effect so you will be ready for sexual intercourse any time.
How does tadalafil work?
Tadalafil blocks the action of the naturally-occurring PDE5 enzyme. PDE5 is responsible for restricting blood flow to the penis. By blocking the action of PDE5, blood flow to the penis increases, therefore helping the patient obtain and maintain an erection.
For tadalafil to work, the patient must be sexually aroused or stimulated.
Tadalafil is indicated for use in men only to treat ED.
What is the difference between tadalafil and Cialis?
Cialis and tadalafil are the same medication. They both work the exact same way and are equally as effective. The only difference is that Cialis is the specific brand of tadalafil whilst tadalafil is a generic medication. This means tadalafil is generally cheaper than Cialis as you are not paying for the brand.
