Genetics, hormones and age all have a role to play in hereditary female pattern hair loss. Hair follicles progressively reduce in diameter, producing shorter and finer hair, until the hair follicles shrink completely and stop producing hair. This can manifest as thinning of the hair and complete baldness in some cases.

How does Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam work?

Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam contains Minoxidil as the active ingredient. Minoxidil can reverse the hair loss process by increasing oxygenated blood flow to the hair follicle to increase the hair shaft diameter and prolong the hair growth phase of your hair cycle, known as the anagen phase.

Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam is most effective if you are a woman aged 18-65 years and has been losing hair for a shorter period of time who has general thinning of hair on the top of the scalp. Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam is less likely to help if you have a large area of thinning hair or have been bald for a long time. Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam should not be used by men.

How long does it take for Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam to work?

Clinical studies have shown that hair regrowth can be seen between 12 to 24 weeks of continuous use. You may notice extra shedding during the first few weeks of use. This is perfectly normal as your body is replacing older dormant hairs with new ones.

If you don’t see any improvement after 24 weeks of use, you should discontinue the treatment.

It is necessary to use Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam continuously to improve and maintain hair regrowth.

How do I use Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam?

Please read the enclosed Patient Information Leaflet carefully before use.

Ensure your hair and scalp is thoroughly dry before application. Press the nozzle to dispense 1g of foam (equivalent to the volume of half a capful) onto your fingers.

The foam may begin to melt on contact with warm skin; therefore you should avoid prolonged handling of the foam if possible. Massage the foam lightly onto affected areas of the scalp. You may need to part your hair a few times during application. If you need to do so, dispense the foam on a non-absorbent surface, such as a saucer or dish.

Part your hair at the centre within the hair thinning areas to help maximise scalp exposure. Your hair can then be parted at least two more times at each side of the centre parting.

Apply the foam once a day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of 1g per day. Using more than the recommended dose will not help hair grow any better or faster.

Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the foam. For external use only.

If you missed one or two doses, just carry on as normal. Do not use double the amount or twice as often.

How much is in a canister of Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam?

Each canister of Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam lasts for approximately two months (60 days).

Potential Side Effects

Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam is generally well tolerated. Any side effects are uncommon and usually mild.Sometimes Regaine for Women ONCE A DAY Scalp Foam can cause itching, headaches and excessive hair growth.

Some people may also be allergic to the medication and come up with a skin rash, itching, swelling around the lips and face, difficulty breathing or swallowing. If this happens, stop the medication immediately and seek medical attention.
